| All hear the words of the brilliant Jerry Falwell:
(on 9/11) "I really believe that the pagans, and the abortionists, and the feminists, and the gays and the lesbians who are actively trying to make that an alternative lifestyle, the ACLU, People For the American Way, all of them who have tried to secularize America. I point the finger in their face and say 'you helped this happen.'"
"God is a Republican" and "Jesus was the first American."
"I hope to see the day when, as in the early days of our country, we don't have public schools. The churches will have taken them over again and Christians will be running them."
"AIDS is the wrath of a just God against homosexuals."

Ah, this guy is the devil. Seriously, Christopher HORNer-- it's even in his name. He's definitely a devil.
And what's more, he works for the Competitive Enterprise Institute, a "think tank" for the government. Here's one example of their beliefs:
"We believe that where individual property rights exist in environmental resources, the environment is most likely to be protected, and that market institutions more effectively allow for the realization of environmental values than political agecies and bureaucracies."
Are you idiots?! Where individuals have right rein to the environment without government regulation, they will destroy it! You think those factories are gonna stop pollution right then and there after government regulation is gone? No! They will pollute even worse! Market institutions pretty much allow for the exploitation of the environment as long as people get what goods they want to sell out of it. Stupid, stupid policy. I don't like a lot of government intereference just as much as the next person but it's kind of necessary for environmental issues.
And now he's spreading his diabolical views around the world. ahhhhhh
P.S. Those new York mints are soooo damn good. :D
| Ay, there is so much wrong with the world, it's almost overwhelming. Some people sadden me.
Luckily, I've been really happy lately. Not for any particular reason, but I dunno... some things just don't seem worth worrying about anymore. Like Oberlin. I mean, of course, I'll always smile at people wearing Oberlin sweatshirts (I saw one walking around Raleigh the other day.... I was just like... what? How did he-- what is he doing down here?!), haha, but I dunno. Chapel Hill's not so bad. Happiness really is a state of mind.
Facebook is more addictive than crack. :(
I am absolutely in love with this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D43yn6g6pb4 It has taught me so many good dance movies. Wha ha ha ha ha ha, hey!
"You are not special. You are not a beautiful or unique snowflake. You're the same decaying organic matter as everything else."
vs.
“No matter what age you are, or what your circumstances might be, you are special, and you still have something unique to offer. Your life, because of who you are, has meaning.”
Hmm, hmm, so many philosophies. What to believe?
| So apparently Legally Blonde's a musical now.... Weird.
Hmm, I don't really have anything interesting to say. Except apparently Russia committed genocide on Ukraine in the '30s by imposing a famine on the whole country. Got downright nasty, with cannibalism and such. Killed between 2-10 million. If the high number is true, then that famine killed maybe as many people as the Holocaust. And I had never even heard of this!
I also never knew that only .23% of the world is Jewish. Why do they even matter? :p Just kidding. But seriously that's a crazy low percentage.
"...And I forgot to tell you I love you And life's too long And cold here without you"
"One day I’ll grow up, I’ll be a beautiful woman. One day I’ll grow up, I’ll be a beautiful girl.
But for today I am a child, for today I am a boy. For today I am a child, for today I am a boy."
I'm not in love (or a man who wants to turn into a woman). Just have songs stuck in my head. :D
This book was frightening as a child: http://www.snaithprimary.eril.net/stfly.htm
But I learned valuable lessons. Like don't eat a spider, cow, goat, cat, dog, bird, AND horse in one sitting. It's just too much.
God bless?! Perhaps.
